Any creative works or other intellectual property created under the scope of a contract shall be the sole intellectual property of the Client. The Editor shall make no claims otherwise but reserves the right to use samples of completed work for marketing purposes or as a part of a portfolio.

Two Deliverables are Returned to the Client:

·      Final Document- Polished manuscript ready for submission or publication

·      Original Document with Tracked Changes- Transparent editing for client review

The client provides the estimated word count using the word count feature in Microsoft Word, including all sections that require editing. Upon receipt of the document, the Editor will verify and calculate the total word count. If this is different than the estimated word count provided by the Client, the Editor will notify the Client with the actual word count and actual cost prior to beginning the work. All costs are transparent, and there are no hidden fees.

The Client agrees to pay a deposit of 50% of the total estimated cost, based upon the estimated word count, at the time of client agreement signing. A booking is not confirmed until the client agreement is signed, and the deposit is received. The remaining balance of the actual cost, based upon the Editor’s verified word count, is due 1 calendar day prior to project completion.

The completed manuscripts, one with tracked changes and one final manuscript, will be provided to the client after the full and final payment is received.
